Control your Sony TV with your phone

Before you start: turn on Control remotely

On the TV, open Settings › Network & Internet › Remote device settings and turn on Control remotely. On some models, it's under Settings › Network › Home network › IP control.

Connect your Sony TV

1. Turn on Control remotelyOn the TV, turn on Settings › Network & Internet › Remote device settings › Control remotely.
2. Tap the TV in the appMake sure the TV is on the same Wi-⁠Fi as your phone, then tap it in the TV list.
3. Type the PINThe TV shows a 4-digit PIN. Type it in the app.
4. Start controllingYou only need to do this once. Next time, the app connects by itself.

Turn your Sony TV on from your phone

Your Sony TV can be turned on from the app when Remote Start is on: Settings › Network & Internet › Remote Start (on some models: Settings › Network › Remote Start).

What you can do

• Direction pad, OK, back, home, volume, mute, channels, input, options, guide, info, subtitles and playback
• Number pad and color keys
• Keyboard: type, then tap SendPro
• Touchpad: swipe to move, tap to selectPro
• Your apps, opened in one tap
• Cast photos and videos from your phonePro

Voice search isn't available for Sony TVs in this app.

If something stops working

Unplug the TV for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. Then connect again from the app. Still not found? See all the fixes.
